In the category of things that freak me out: the door of the closet in my bedroom has the tendency to open on it's own every couple of months. I hardly ever use that closet, it houses mostly old office crap from the store (my bedroom used to be an office) and I haven't opened it in months. The worst part is that yes, when it's unlocked it opens easily (gravity due to a wonky house) but there is a proper lock on it with a proper key, not one of those little, itty bitty things, but a proper old fashioned key. It also doesn't turn that easy, you have to use a bit of force to turn it. How the thing keeps unlocking itself I don't know, there probably is a very logical explanation for it but I don't know what it is.
Luckily, this time it happened some time during the day. Last time it happened during the night and I woke up from the sound of the door thunking against the wall. That really freaked me out and I didn't manage to sleep the rest of the night.
