I do not have a PW2 and am unable to duplicate your problem on the devices I do have.

How many books do you have on the device?
How many collections?
Do the books appear in more than one collection?
Are you trying to use nested collections?
Are you trying to include books and/or collections that are 'on the cloud'?

The collections database lives in /var/local which is a small partition -
it may be running out of room.
If you have a way to enter the command line command:
df -h /var/local
it would tell us how much free space is available in that partition.

Otherwise - we need a modified LibrarianSync with more precise error messages than just: "something evil happened".
