cbell - My Sister's Keeper was the first Jodi Picoult book that I read, and I LOVED it. It is such an amazing book.

Elsi - The Women's Murder Club series is great, have you read the Alex Cross series? It's similar to the Women's Murder Club, in that you follow the stories through the one character, however it's a different character and a different lifestyle. VERY good. That's what got me started on James Patterson.

eimert - 'Animal' books to me are any books that have animals in them. The book doesn't have to be about them, they just have to be character's in it... I'm easily amused... I will look out for those ones too.

Hi Jadokai,

please, do try Durrells books if you can find them! They were the only books (so far) making me laugh out loud in public - earned me some strange stares :-) I am really sorry that they are out of print. They even don't have them in our local library :-( I only to managed to snatch up two of them in German for my daughter in a second hand book shop.
