So, on Tuesday I got out of bed, did everything that I usually do, and everything went fine. Until I got to the kitchen and foolishly reached to my left to get the teapot. Long story short, I had a sudden, searing pain in my left ankle and my leg almost buckled. During the course of the day the pain didn't let up. So, I went to the doctor's office.
They took some X-rays, looking for any possible stress fractures, etc. The X-rays were clear, but they wanted me to come back on Wednesday for an ultrasound.
I had an appointment for an ultrasound today. It was a slow day in the office, so the PA (Physician's Assistant) I saw yesterday was joined by another PA and their sports medicine specialist. The good news is, my ankle looks okay. In fact, while my knees are shot, and my lower back is iffy, the ultrasound tech and sports medicine guy were positively gushing over my ankles. I have the tendons of a 15 year old!
