I am big fan of the PocketBook brand.
Unfortunately the latest models, such as Touch Lux 3 have firmware that isn't as good as the legendary PocketBooks of yesteryear.
Mind you, they are still very highly configurable with large number of suported formats, even third-party apps you can install, such as Coolreader or even terminal emulator. It just makes me angry that they are dropping some interesting features.
Have a look at the latest model of Tolino Vision 3 HD.
300dpi 6" screen behind a glass - just like Kindle Voyage. It has Android that can be rooted, so you can install interesting apps for reading. Has a number of interesting features, like "tap to turn the page". Oh ... and it is waterproof.
