I've just finished a long read: "Gardens of the Moon" by Steven Erikson, the first book in the 10-volume "Malazan Book of the Fallen" series. An epic fantasy in every sense of the word, featuring "a cast of thousands" and a wide scope. Extremely enjoyable, although by no means an easy read. I'm very much looking forward to continuing with the series. Very highly recommended, but not a book (or a series) to be taken on lightly: you'll need plenty of time on your hands.
