The thread went dormant for a while, mostly because nothing much has happened with NOOK lately. The UK thing is the first big news.

Dob43 is basically correct, but it can differ slightly depending on which version of Windows you have. The easiest way to find them is to click on "My Documents" and look for a folder named "My Barnes & Noble eBooks".
