That indicates hardware errors (corrupted flash memory). Sorry.

It is seriously not normal for deleted files to come back after a reboot -- it means the device was incapable of actually writing the changes to disk, and those changes persisted only in the write cache etc.

Sounds like your Kindle is toast.
