What was off-putting for me is the length--16.7 hours. I love history, but I didn't think that I could stand to listen to 17 hours of adventures in a covered wagon. And even if I could stand it, I lose attention easily (got it from my father) and would probably not take in most of it. Would be a better use of time to listen to something else. Now if an abridged edition comes out . . . .
