I have dozens of (DOS era) manuals that have well documented 100's of programming functions. They even contain code examples with options usage.
Rare, is a real life (shown as its part inside the project)

Not ONE, provides a reason of WHY you would want this function. (Some are obvious Like AVG(), SubStr()... )

Mind you, the manual is not wrong

My usual problem is finding stuff in Calibres documentation, not that it is not documented fully.

If someone could ever figure out how to do a (cross platform) Super Balloon Help (if you click on a link IN the Balloon, it sends you to the precise section in the full Help.In addition, it would be release version sensitive when needed so no more chasing after items that are not available because you are stuck 'down rev')
