I have read books that have explicit sexual scenes in them, but they are the rare exception. The differentiator for me is whether the point of the book is the sex or whether the sex is an adjunct to a good plot. This particular book didn't seem to offer much more than a humorous series of sexual exploits. Just not something that I'd enjoy.

Now this made me think. It's not the homosexuality that's the put-off for me. In fact, if the story were a non-explicit story about two men (or two women) developing a relationship, falling in love, setting up a household, etc. then I certainly might read the book. As I said above, in order to get my attention, the book has to offer a good plot.

I'm just not too interested in the acrobatics and details.
