Check the dates of those posts.
Notice that they pre-date the release of the software closed Kindle jail break?

Tell us instead what you are doing (key pressed, etc) and what is the result.

Most often made error with your result:
Failure to put the
file named:
jb at the root of the visible usb storage (right alongside the /documents directory).
The jail break is posted as an
archive named: jb.zip -
Open it (that is: un-zip it) -
Inside the archive you will find a
directory (a.k.a: folder) named: jb -
Inside the directory you will find a
file named: jb -
Put that
file named jb at the root of the visible usb storage.
NOT the
jb.zip archive.
NOT the
directory named jb.
Just the
file named jb, nothing else.
Then follow the directions.
