I think I saw something from Brandon Sanderson about DRM that was originally included on a recent book (BoM or another) even though Sanderson didn't want that option included. If that is the case and assuming he has corrected it, maybe early/late versions of that book might be different sizes.
I am not able to find that quote right now and in reviewing it I was probably thinking about this quote (note "mistborn" is Brandon Sanderson's official account):

That's...very strange and unexpected. I'll look into this, but if it's true, it will make me less eager to push Nook books. I made my novels DRM free for a reason...
