There are two kinds of people.
The ones who read manuals carefully, do everything by the numbers and look up everything before trying anything.
Then there are the ones who get a new device, start fiddling with buttons, press anything that can be pressed, immediately start poking the innards with screwdrivers and who only get a manual when things get rough.
Now the first ones know how everything (should) work, they've got it all figured out.
Nothing ever goes wrong with these people.
The second kind work in places like Chernobyl, the bridge of the Titanic and at the landingpost of the Hindenburg.
