Hello all,
Well, I should tell you all a little about myself, then beg for help later. I am a 66 yo retiree, not quite comfortable with this digital age, but slowly accepting , and enjoying it more as I go. I can see the benefits of instant information, and also the pitfalls of limited verification in some (Other) areas . I was, for my 1st 60 yrs, a luddite, feeling electronic calculators were the beginning of a long slippery slope. Anything that couldn't be worked on paper or a slide rule was destined to wait for someone else.
Then I was forcibly retired and my daughter convinced me to start in digital photography, gave me her old HP PC and a basic camera and I was hooked! I still like paper books, magazines & newspapers, but use forums & internet more every day, and read more e-books each year.
I worked in geology in the 1970s, photography in the 1980s, landscaping in the 199os and plant nursery for the final 20 yrs. now I read, garden & fish, as well as haunt the internet, will be begging for help soon.
