Just saw that. In some ways it's surprising and certainly it's sad. In other ways not so surprising. I think they grew faster than they ever expected during the hey day (way to many titles per month) of digital first and then they lost some of their top authors who got their rights back and self pubbed or started self pubbing later books in various series. Hard, especially in romance, with all of the success in self-publishing the genre has.
