A thought: Since this will (almost) always need to be changed, how about defaulting to 0 instead?
Regarding the p-
nnn codes, there is a new catalog number:
http://baenebooks.com/p-2848-her-brothers-keeper.aspx corresponds to
http://www.baen.com/catalog/product/links/id/2834 for example. The catalog numbers track the old product codes for the most part, but every now and then there’s a product code that doesn’t exist in the new system and the catalog numbers fall behind by 1. (Unfortunately the catalog URL does not have any book metadata, nor does it link to the main book page.
)
