Well, speed does not refer to page turn only, but to navigation in general and there is where 505 is poor. If you read one (lrf/x) book at a time, end to end, the page turn lag indeed is no big deal, but if you are not a "sequential" reader or you like to read several books at a given time, switching often between, then speed becomes an issue.
I like to flip through books, read fast, then sometimes go back check this or that, and with the 500 I found that impossible, only sequential reading of one book was acceptable.
With the 700, I open the page bar and just move around with the finger until I get where I want - of course I can use search or go to page #, but I am used with a touch page bar from the 770 and it works beautifully on the 700 too...
