Kobo also gives contrast option but not for pdfs. Sony is one of few devices that give brightness and contrast control for pdfs.

The contrast settings are there in Android based Onyx Boox eReaders.
Settings can be applied system wide : All apps (reading apps, web browser etc) will be affected, Or a user can apply contrast settings locally to just an app.
