Italian author Umberto Eco has died
The Italian philosopher and author, Umberto Eco, best known for his novel "The Name of the Rose", which was made into a film starring Sean Connery, has died at the age of 84.

One of my favourite authors; he'll be missed. My favourite book of his is "Foucault's Pendulum", which has been described as "the thinking man's Da Vinci Code".
