This is why the real solution is to uncap the CPU, use an electron microscope to read the hardware key, and then use external computers to crack the key in parallel. They just don't want to do that because it would involve destroying evidence. Unfortunately, there's probably no way around going down that road if the user enabled the 6-digit passcode feature.

If, on the other hand, the user used the default 4-digit passcode, it would take less than a month even with that 80 ms delay, so the only problems remaining would be A. preventing the device from wiping itself and B. disabling the exponentially increasing delay between password attempts.
