I think I would care very much. Imagine, you think you're downloading a rollicking Western, and end up with a Romance; or your after a Page-turning Mystery and end up with a travel guide. Waste of bandwidth and time for all concerned.
More importantly, if you're looking for NON-fiction, and end up with fiction; or books for kids and end up with some bawdy Victorian novel.
I'd like to be able to ADD Genre information to a book. I realize that anyone can place a review in the comments section. Can anyone request a change or addition to the "sorting" tags?
