Hello everyone at Mobile Read.

I inadvertently 'bricked' my Kobo Mini while attempting to load the next 3 books in a gripping series... ARGH! doesn't begin to describe it.

After much angst and research I found this forum and ultimately the advice and support I - as a computer literate person but not a coder nor Linux user - needed to fix the device myself.

I have saved a great deal of money, time and am now back devouring the books, having attained a real sense of achievement. I'll post the details in the appropriate thread to help those that come after me.
