I Know from my own experience that when I read something on an e-reader in landscape mode,I feel that I have missed the main nature of the e-reader by feeling more likely looking at tablets in that position.

I prefer to be more comfortable reading heavy texts and fine print journal articles on their natural portrait position for several hours, without worrying too much of zooming, pinching, magnifying, scrolling, etc.

I remember the days that people used to have smaller cellphones with smaller screens in its initial arriving. Then bigger screens as phablets and smartphones come to market.I have one of that smaller screen cellphones for my daily usage without worrying too much of charging every night!(My cellphone,no matter how outdated, holds charge for at least 10 days). If I see an updated large screen smartphone(5 inch) that holds charge for at least one week on one time charging,I will immediately pay for it.But as big screen phones are highly appealing, the battery run time and related technology lags behind! For 2016,I see the screen gets even bigger(6 inch!) and I believe people will read their e-books on them!
