Tompe, the statement you quote, which refers to a possible UK version, says the GSM version will be launched in the second half of 2009 - which is not "nearly the same time" but rather after the Sprint 2/3 month exclusive runs out. Anyhow, it's all speculation at the moment and by the time the Pre appears I expect the other manufacturers will have issued updates. Incidentally, I don't know if you have seen this, but the Pre is twice as thick as an iphone but pretty much the same weight: what is it made of, papier mache?
