Just to save you some future puzzlement - -
Install: KUAL
Install: MrPI (Mobileread Package Installer, a KUAL extension).
You **MUST** use MrPI to install update_*.bin packages.
Putting them in the root of user storage no longer works.
Just put them in the /mrpackages directory (which will be created by the MrPI installation).

Sorry for my poor engilsh!
Before I restored my device all things worked good.
After that, I moved JailBreak-1.14.N-FW-5.x-hotfix.bin to /. But it showed me "invalid update file".
After I put kual-kdk-2.0.azw3 to /document, then i pressed the kindle launcher,it showed me "this device is not authorized as a test kinde by the developer of this item...."
Any chance for me to still fix this or am i out of luck?
