As I said, it's a 4 GB non-Japanese PW2, so firmware is 5.4.5, otherwise kindlets wouldn't run

No! The device was delivered with firmware 5.4.3.2. I did the jailbreak, then updated to 5.4.5, to be able to run kindlets. After the update I installed MKK, KUAL and KOReader #414, which did run fine. When I updated to #433 KOReader wouldn't start.

Yes, that's what I meant with "No problems with #414". Sorry for my poor English and thank you very much for answering to my problem I'm running nightly #414 now and I'm happy with it, but of course I would like to be able to update to new versions of KR

(BTW KUDOS to all who are involved in this Project. After being sceptical for a long time, I'm a big fan of KR now!).
