Visible imperfections do sometimes exist on e-ink and LCD screens. It's pot-luck. If it really bothers you, return the device. Personally I could get past the speck on the bottom of your screen, but the Voyage is a premier product with premier price-tag, so I could understand if you found the imperfection unacceptable. You could certainly get away with one return no problem. Amazon should warn you via email if you return too much. But be warned, sometimes the replacements are worse, particularly regarding the uniformity of the light.
