Notes of a Camp-Follower on the Western Front by E.W. Hornung
Review
”This is the account of a man who went out to run a YMCA kitchen just behind the front line. He is very passionate and clearly a supporter of the war effort. He avoids naming units etc. It is an unusual perspective and one I had never seen before. If you have a good knowledge of the first world war you will get a lot from this. “
E.W. Hornung was an English author best known for writing the A.J. Raffles series about an English gentleman thief in the late 19th century.
