Not related to your problems now.
DO NOT do a "Factory Reset" now, you stand a good chance of trashing what you have gotten done.
If fact, don't do a "Factory Reset" ever again.
(There are some attempts made by the JB to protect itself, but it is better if you don't risk it.
)
