Yes - you still have to do it with manual commands but RP gives you ssh access to the command line of the 'diags' system.

(The series-5 Kindles are all dual system boot devices.)

And the CRP add-on to RP allows you to boot into the 'diags' system based on the USB cable connection, handy if whatever happened to the system prevents you from accessing the USB user storage.
