Amazon has changed the location of the percent and page status at the bottom of opened books a couple of operating systems versions ago. Rather than having percent on the right and page on the left, it shows percent on the left and page number on the left - separated by a "-" symbol.
The difference between "old" and "new" helvetica is, that Amazon has removed the boldness of the font, making it harder to read if you choose the smallest font, smallest margin and smallest linespacing.

I'm looking at a book on my Voyage running 5.7.2 and the page number is on the left, and the % is on the right. What version are you running that is showing the percent on the left?
