Free (nook/Kindle/iTunes/ePub) Embers of Love [Xtian 1880s Texas Historical Romance]

Embers of Love by Tracie Peterson is the 1st in her Striking a Match series of f/m historical romances set in Texas in the 1880s, this installment starring a young woman educated in the East who returns home to do bookkeeping for the family logging business and winds up being matchmade with an eligible local bachelor by her friends, free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Bethany House imprint.

Apparently this has been free sometime in the past, but doesn't seem to have been mentioned on MR, so it's probably effectively a new offering for most Gentle Readers.

Currently free, as part of Baker's recent rotation of their long-term 1st-in-series introductory freebies @ B&N (may also drop in the UK), Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play (all available to Canadians), ChristianBook (ADE-DRM ePub available worldwide).

Description
The logging industry in eastern Texas is booming, and Deborah Vandermark plans to assist her family's business now that she's completed college. Unexpectedly, her best friend, Lizzie Decker, accompanies her back home--fleeing a wedding and groom she has no interest in. Deborah, the determined matchmaker, puts her sights on uniting her brother and dear friend in a true love match.

Deborah soon meets Dr. Christopher Clayton, a much-needed addition to the town. As their lives intersect, Deborah realizes that she has a much greater interest in medicine and science than the bookkeeping she was trained in. But when typhoid begins to spread and Lizzie's jilted fiance returns, Deborah wonders if true love can overcome such obstacles...for those dearest to her, and for herself.
