It doesn't do that on my Fire. However, it does on my Galaxy Nexus. Sigh... I only tested it on my Amazon device(s) and it works there because the mime type changes.

Edit: it also doesn't open the correct book either. It opens the last one I opened instead. Ebookdroid does open it.

You are right -- it doesn't work. I have fixed it and will release the fix eventually.
