We used to have 2 chain bookstores in the Town's Mall (and a franchise in the strip center across the street).
The Mall stores closed because of low sales (and the Mall torn down for high rise housing)
Local area Mall and Stand alone stores that I used to haunt... Gone

Future Fantasy
Little Professor
A Clean Well-Lighted Place for Books

I might see a Amazon Kiosk suceeding
I might see a Standalone "Pickup center" with a small Impulse section in front of the 'will call' counter
