I must say I disagree about "rant". Quite often, perhaps usually, the lesser said the better, but, in my opinion not the better the rant. A rant is by definition a long-winded and descriptive vitriolic outpouring usually involving anatomical rearrangement of the antagonist.

I must give you, however, that a "vent" can be as succinct and without detail as desired, and, as this is the vent and rant thread, I apologise profusely and retract my former critique - because of that, and because I even specified "vent" within and should have noted my error.

That is to say, please, vent on freely with my humble apologies, my less reflexive (though intended as jocular) reaction, and my concerned and supportive audience. You are, here and elsewhere, a pillar of restraint, and my admiration is without limit.
