I haven't seen that. That suggests there is a problem in the book that the conversion makes worse. Open it in the calibre editor and check for errors.

While, the calibre viewer is good, it isn't a good way to check a book. It is very forgiving for errors in epubs. The Kobo renderers are not. Especially the RMSDK epub renderer.

But, a port of it to the ereaders would be an interesting idea. Unfortunately, there is no way to separate it from the rest of calibre.
