I have both the BeBook (Hanlin clone) and the Cybook (bought form DA direct).
I bought the Cybook when My BeBook failed and I had to send it back to the Netherlands for repair and knew I would be without it for quite some time. I have just been notified that it has been repaired so hopefully will have it back in a week or so.
I am hard pressed to choose between the two devices, although will have to do so as my daughter is wanting one of the devices.
My experience of sending the device back overseas for repair is one that makes me lean towards buying such a device from a store here in Australia.
As for Sony, this requires constant conversion of e-books to be read on the device. This is ok, but can get tiresome and I much prefer to simply download a mobipocket book and read.
Service from DA Direct is second to none.
