Ah -- I do know Windows finally got "mklink", I just thought I might have heard something about Dropbox gaining support for shortcuts and wasn't sure if I was getting confused with symlinks/junctions.

The fact that Windows has Junctions (hardlinked directories are stupid) and shortcuts ("G-d-only-knows-I-am") are definite points against trying to remember how the heck Windows is supposed to work.
