Which, when you combine the unlimited 50% off coupon with the difference between the Canadian dollar and the US dollar, makes the book about $3.50 USD. If you've never read any of the Ava Lee books, RUN out and get one of the early ones. Start with The Water Rat of Wanchai, which is couponable at Kobo. You've never met an accountant like Ms. Lee, I assure you.

In this episode, Ms. Lee is primarily in Shanghai, and is trying to move her fashion business forward. She gets involved helping a friend who is head of the local Triad, and things get far dicier than she ever intended.

I'm about 80% finished with the book, having finally fallen asleep and letting my Kindle hit the floor at about 1AM. But off to finish it now. Work can wait.
Finished. Enjoyed it every bit as much as I expected.

I was expecting to drop back to the Jade del Cameron series, but I'm finding it hard to pick it back up again. So I've read a couple of short stories, including a new, free Archer's Beach story from Sharon Lee, and now I'm moving on to this month's Mobileread book, Brat Farrar from Josephine Tey.
