Tarana--I think you might be better off without the screen protector. I've never used one on any of the touch screen readers that I've had (Sony PRS350, Sony PRS 650, Kindle Paperwhite 2, Kobo Aura HD, and now a Kindle Voyage). Have never had a problem with scratches on any of my screens. And when I did try the screen protectors, in my experience they actually caused more fingerprint, glare, and fuzzy text issues.
