Mine also took about a week.
Katie, I compared the Kindle Voyage and the Paperwhite 3 next to each other at Best Buy today.
Size: Paperwhite3 is larger and slightly heavier. Advantage: easier to grip than Voyage. Both are pretty close to the size of a paperback, but much thinner.
Buttons: Paperwhite has no buttons, Voyage has pseudobuttons
Dictionaries are the same - advanced from the Kindle Keyboard
Text - It was REALLY close. Both are great. Voyage had a slight edge.
Lighting: Both have a scale of 24. Paperwhite is manually set, Voyage has both manual and automatic.
We have had nothing but dull days with no bright light, but in my experience, the Kindle Keyboard edges out my Mom's Paperwhite1 in direct daylight. Haven't tried the Voyage yet, but it has a similar screen. While the glass screen significantly reduces chances of damage, the glare issue cannot be eliminated on the same scale as they did for the Kindle Keyboard and similar models. So if you read in a sunny room, you'll perhaps have an easier time with a Kindle keyboard, Nook ST or Glo.
Kindle Keyboard has a tad less than 3 gigs of space and has no ads. Voyage/Paperwhite3 have tad less than 4 gigs of space and has ads, although you can pay an extra $20 to remove those.
