@badgoodDeb - the suggestion to redownload/reinstall wasn't needed - was already done, to no avail. AND, I don't think I moved the library - but it's not unlike me to do so.
I'm actually preparing to upgrade to 10.10 this weekend (can't even consider El Capitan - SO much of my great hardware won't work with it, and I'm not made of money), but so many apps require it now (like MS 365). I do have the installer for it, just never did it. Now, I'm ready - so maybe THAT'LL fix the problem (not holding my breath though - if it's not working in 10.9, I doubt it's the OS). Actually, I'll have to update so many background apps, that perhaps I'll discover if one of those is interfering (again... since nobody suggested it, and this seems to be a standalone app, I doubt it'll help), but it's worth a shot.
@theducks - so THAT'S the name of the library database? I'll back THAT up too - Thanks!!!
