I keep the wifi on my Voyage off and it lasts a good while. I usually plug it in before it's below 50% and that's probably on average about a good three weeks of reading. My reading varies but I usually average about 1/2 an hour a day. I don't think the light causes too much drain on the battery--my light is usually set at between 11 and 14.

Yes, someone in another thread also suggested indexing could be sucking a lot of power. Honestly, the power is my only issue with it. If I went on vacation, I'd be taking the Kindle Keyboard 3G I have left because the 3G allows me to download without wifi. No way I would pay $70 extra for that feature! Note: my vacations these days mostly involve housesitting in the country. My days of travel are limited.
