Propaganda and brand libel don't need facts. Facts get in the way of the mission.
The thing was a purely political exercise and what matters isn't what they said but rather which, if any, politicians showed up or sent a high-ranking staffer.
Of course, covering that would require actual journalism from the rah-rah publishing media.
