Device: iPad & iPhone with Marvin 2 + 3 & Kobo Glo HD
Tested on iOS 8 with iPad:

Stanza : works (i see icons)
Shubook : works
Pocketbook Reader : works
Marvin : NO custom icons in OPDS view

The icons are (for my taste on iOS) slightly to large.
