You could always pause and take in a second book... I find I have to do that sometimes when a book is okay or even good, but I am either not in the proper mood or it isn’t quite engaging enough to drag me along. I make sure to go in an entirely different genre so I muddle up the storylines.
Speaking of which... I am just starting the third volume of
Prescription : Murder which shouldn't take long, but then I will have to pick something else to read and I am uncertain which direction to go. Dngrswife just went on a binge-watch of the LoTR movies the last couple days, but last time I read them (it was less than a year ago), I couldn't read anything else for a month and a half. I'm tempted to try Terry Pratchett, since I got the first Discworld book for free, but if I get hooked, then that would be an expensive follow-up (isn't there like 40 books or something in that series?)
