Open and adding books in Calibre-portable on Windows 10
I’ve recently upgraded my PC to Windows 10 64bits and decided to switch to calibre portable instead of the calibre desktop app I used before. Before the upgrade/switch, in Win7, I could double-click an epub, mobi or even right-click a PDF and open with Calibre, and it would open Calibre, then automatically add (or ask if I want to add, I don’t recall exactly) the book to my library. I’m not sure if it used to also open the viewer automatically…
In Win10, I had to change the default app for books and set to open Calibre portable. In Calibre portable, the pref/behavior/use internal viewer is also checked for all eBook formats I want in Calibre. But now, if I double-click a book in Win10, it opens Calibre but then, nothing happens - doesn’t open a viewer nor add the book in the library (or ask to), the book doesn’t appear anywhere in Calibre. I can’t seem to find any option related to that sort of functionality.
I know I can change the default app to open the viewer, but it’s not exactly what I want. Does anyone know how to set it to open Calibre and automatically ask to add the book to library (and possibly, also open the viewer)?
Thanks for your help!
