IMO, the Kobo's EPub footnote tap size is a joke. Kobo: please do something about this.

A possible (sucky) work around (if you want to stick with epub): (somehow) go to the first endnote, bookmark it, and than you can use bookmarks to get to the endnotes relatively fast/easily? I think the draw back to this may be that you will not be able to get the popup endnotes.
