Huh! That link is about i-tunes caused issues. (Another reason I say "I Won't buy Apple" )

Calibre Libraries work with all NON-apple (i-tunes) reader devices

I move the Library between all 3 versions and it just works. (I keep a backup copy on XP and open that to check what the old metadata looked like)

Mac and Linux introduce filename CASE issues (but the book files are still valid and the DB just needs repair so it finds those files again)
